CAMPAIGN FOR FLOOD RELIEF

Dear Parent,

As you are aware, the state of Assam has been ravaged by floods, rendering thousands homeless. TAFS, in collaboration with the NGO ‘Goonj’ is starting a campaign from 29 July 2019 to 01 Aug 2019 to collect relief materials for flood hit victims.

By contributing for the flood relief, our students will be doing their bit for fellow countrymen hit by natural disaster.

The following material can be contributed:

·                     Dry ration (rice, pulses, spices, sugar, tea leaves)

·                     Soaps, toothpaste and sanitary napkins.

·                     Mosquito Nets

·                     Buckets and Mugs

All the ration items should be in original sealed packets.

Materials NOT required:

Clothes, water, perishable items, cooked food, wheat flour, any expired material.

    DETAILS OF CBSE REGISTRATION FOR CLASS XI

    DETAILS OF CBSE REGISTRATION  FOR CLASS XI 

    1.    The CBSE Registration forms have been given to the students. 

    2.    All details must be checked and make changes (if any) with a red ink.

    3.    Passport size (2.5cm x 3cm) recent photograph of your child in school uniform (Black and White) clearly indicating the name of the student along with the date of taking photograph must be sent alongwith the filled-up form.

    4.    The completed form(s) are to be handed over to the concerned Class Teacher(s) by Monday, 29 July 2019. 

    5.    Registration fee will be added in the school fee for the next quarter. 

    6.    Request for kind co-operation in time.

        Artificial Wall Climbing

        Dear Parents,

        1.         Artificial Rock Climbing Wall is one of the important sports activity which teaches self reliance and teamwork to children. It also helps them to leave their comfort zone results in better health, improved self esteem and increased confidence.

        2.         The students who are in Class VI-X with sound health are eligible to appear for the selection of wall climbing sport activity. Selected students will undergo one month training programme (from Last week of July to first week of Sep 2019) in the school. No fee will be charged and technical kit will be provided by school.   

        ·         Timing – 0845hrs – 1100hrs

        ·         Venue for selection/training – Artificial Rock Climbing Wall , Near Basket Ball Court 

        3.         If your ward is interested to join the same, may please fill up the consent form given below and send it through your ward to

              The Green Olympiad Examination 2019 : Classes IV-X

              The Green Olympiad Examination 2019 (Wednesday, 16 October 2019)

              For Classes IV - X 

              Dear Parents,

              TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute) is an independent, non-profit research institute focused on energy, environment and sustainable development devoted to efficient and sustainable use of natural resources. They have been conducting ‘Green Olympiad’ project in India and abroad since 1999.

              The examination is open to the students of classes IV-X as per the following levels:

              Level 1 (for students from classes IV & V)

              Level 2 (for students from classes VI - VIII)

              Level 3 (for students from classes IX & X)

              This is an excellent opportunity for students to put to test their Environment Quotient. Questions in this Olympiad are woven around environment issues and the sensitivity of the students to the environment.

              We are conducting this Olympiad in our school premises for students purely on a voluntary basis. 

               The main features of the Green Olympiad are as follows:

              Open to students of classes IV-X

              Theme

              ‘Environment and Sustainable Development’

              16 October 2019

              Certification

              All participants will receive participation certificates endorsed by the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Govt. of India

              Duration

              1 hour

              Registration fee

              Rs. 75/- per student

               There is no prescribed syllabus for the exam. However questions asked will follow the MCQ format with no negative marking.

              For preparation your ward may refer to books on Environment and sample papers which will be uploaded on school website very soon.

              If you wish your ward to appear for this Olympiad kindly download the consent form and submit the duly filled form to the class teacher, along with Rs.75/- cash in an envelope with the name & class of the child written on it, latest by 22 July, 2019.
