A day dedicated to yellow colour was celebrated by our kindergarteners which was marked with children dressed in different hues and tints of the shade. TIGERS’ DAY CELEBRATIONS (GRADE UKG &1 )

‘Do Not Let It Get Extinct!’

Tigers are one of the species, of majestic animals, that are nearing extinction. Therefore to raise awareness about the magnificent but endangered big cat, ‘International Tigers’ Day’ is celebrated on 29 July, world over. Tigers’ Day celebrations at TAFS aimed to sensitize students about the critical need to protect tigers and their habitat.

The children of UKG made Tiger stick puppets using ice-cream sticks. It not only helped them to express their creativity but also helped in the development of  fine motor skills and hand strength. The students of Class 1 made Tiger  head bands with the slogan 'Save Tigers', and wore it on their heads.  All children  thoroughly enjoyed the video on Tiger Anthem 'Let's Save Bobby'.

DRAMA WORKSHOP: 33RD VASANT VALLEY DRAMA FESTIVAL

          DRAMA WORKSHOP:

          33RD VASANT VALLEY DRAMA FESTIVAL

The Vasant Valley School Drama Festival is an eagerly awaited event and it provides a wonderful chance for children from different schools to come together on a common platform to showcase their acting talent by  staging their own play around a given theme. A drama workshop marks the beginning of this event every year. This year too, a group of  12 children from Class 5 got an opportunity to attend the workshop on 24 Jul 24 at Vasant Valley School.

The workshop began with an engaging icebreaker which was about elves, wizards and giants to get the children started and to encourage  teamwork and communication between them. This was followed by a creative session to unleash the children's imagination where they got into smaller groups, discussed and deliberated upon the given theme, made posters and enacted still images to tell a story around the theme, " When the clock turns back.” Throughout the workshop, children received guidance and feedback from experienced drama facilitators.

The workshop helped build confidence, self-esteem and self-expression in all participants.

The workshop was a fantastic experience for our students and they are  now excited and looking forward to going and performing at the main event in August.

Fourth graders designed their own Almanac covers using the school's motto and symbol. Class 5 conducted an oration activity on the school's motto 'Education Empowers' where children brainstormed and expressed their thoughts on importance of education. "Connecting communities,

                        cultivating a sustainable future!”

An exhibition on the theme, “Together we thrive” was organised in the Junior school on 16 July 24. The event was inaugurated by Wg Cdr Manoj Kumar Yadav, Executive Director TAFS. Ms Lomina Rajeev, Principal TAFS also graced the occasion. This exhibition will remain open for the entire month of July, for the students, parents and guests to visit.

Community living and sustainability go hand-in-hand. When we live in a community, we share resources, reduce waste and support one another in making environmentally conscious choices. The children of Junior School understood this concept creatively by working on Hands-on projects from trash available at home this summer and truly created, “Trash to Treasure”!

The exhibition showcased the artwork of the talented children and some splendid creations like pen stands, pop art, optical illusion blocks, tribal and animal masks -all made from waste items available at home. Also on display were models of ancient and traditional games of India and the world, like Pachisi, lagori/pittu, aankh micholi, mangala, hopscotch and many more. The distinguishing feature  of the exhibition was that all the projects were innovatively made from recycled materials.

It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to explain their projects to the esteemed guests showcasing their skills and to gain confidence. The exhibition was beautifully curated, making it a treat for the visitors. It was a celebration of the joy of learning and the accomplishments of our children.

Summer season can be personified as everyone’s never ending love for ice-cream. Our kindergarteners were treated to a delightful ice cream party on Tuesday, 9th July to beat the heat and celebrate their joyous spirits.
The eyes of kids gleamed with excitement as they savoured their favourite ice cream. The ice cream was topped with cut fruits to make it healthy and colourful. The joyous atmosphere of the classroom was contagious. The little faces lit up with smiles and the laughter echoed as they relished their ice creams. Lively music was played in the class to keep the kids enthralled. They danced on the summer songs also.
The kids showed their creativity by doing tearing & pasting activity to make ice cream cones. They spoke few lines on their favourite ice cream. It was a day filled with happiness, laughter and cherished moments.
